Faculty Position in Translational Hearing Center – Department of Biomedical Sciences
The Department of Biomedical Sciences in the Creighton University School of Medicine invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. Applicants should not have received prior R01-level funding (>$210,000 per year in direct costs). The Center is strengthening existing research in translational auditory and vestibular neurosciences by establishing new laboratories. Special consideration will be given to those utilizing various translational approaches to auditory diseases, including drug development, genomic predisposition, and/or etiologies of hearing loss, animal models, research audiology and clinical applications.
Appointees will be expected to conduct a vigorous independent research program and participate in graduate and professional student teaching. Generous laboratory space with equipment, competitive start-up funding, and state-of-the art core facilities will be provided.
Applicants should have a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD degree; postdoctoral training with significant research accomplishments and scholarly promise.
