The Auditory Research Group at the VA Loma Linda Healthcare System is searching for a postdoctoral fellow to participate in a comparative study designed to develop a clinical protocol for use in the detection of Auditory Synaptopathy (e.g., Hidden Hearing Loss) in human patients. The diagnostic protocol in question will stem from a multivariate statistical model constructed from relevant physiological findings in noise exposed and control animals and validated based on inner ear morphology.
The ideal candidate for this position should be familiar with standard cochlear morphology protocols (e.g., surface preparation methodologies), as well as confocal microscopy.
Education and/or Experience: The position requires the applicant to hold a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in a field associated with Biology, Physiology, Anatomy, Neuroscience, or a related branch of science.
