Postdoctoral Position – Harvard Medical School
The Corey Laboratory at Harvard Medical School is looking for a postdoctoral fellow or research associate to lead an ongoing research program on gene therapy for hereditary deafness. This is an opportunity to enjoy an exciting and collaborative research environment while contributing to a serious public health challenge.
An ideal candidate would have experience in gene therapy for the inner ear, including design and construction of AAV vectors, injection of vectors into the inner ear, histological analysis of both neonatal and adult mouse cochlea, ABR testing of cochlear function, and management of mouse lines. Good organizational skills are essential. Ability to direct and inspire others is a plus.
Our laboratory has experience in developing diverse gene therapy strategies for a variety of hereditary deafnesses, and enjoys collaborations in this effort with other laboratories at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts Eye and Ear, and Massachusetts General Hospital.
