POSTDOCTORAL POSITION IN ELECTROPHYSIOLOGY AND IMAGING

Postdoctoral position in electrophysiology and imaging available immediately on newly-funded, 5-year, NIH grant to investigate how synaptic transmission is modified in the central vestibular circuitry in our new chick model for congenital vestibular disorders. The experiments involve patch-clamp recordings using current-and voltage-clamp combined with biocytin dye injections and confocal imaging of brain slices from vestibular nuclei neurons. Experience desirable in patch-clamp recording and pharmacological testing with a strong background in biophysics. Salary follows NIH guidelines.
