Description: The Bionic Ear Lab of the University of Southern California has an opening for a postdoctoral researcher dedicated to cochlear implant psychophysics and signal processing. The researcher will work with Ray Goldsworthy, PhD, to develop new psychophysical experiments and new signal-processing strategies designed to improve pitch perception and spatial hearing for cochlear implant users. Techniques combine psychophysics, signal processing, neural imaging, and rehabilitation towards improving cochlear implant outcomes. Candidates should have strong analytical and writing skills with demonstrated prowess in auditory implants. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
