Researcher IV – University of Mississippi Medical Center
The Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center is recruiting for a Researcher IV position. Our labs are conducting histological, behavioral and neurophysiological studies of the vestibular system in rats and mice. Ongoing NIH funded projects are to characterize effects of traumatic brain injury (e.g., blast and concussion) and genetic deficits on the peripheral vestibular end organs.
Job Summary: Conducts research applying theoretical and professional working knowledge for desired outcomes to include, but not limited to, project planning and management, experimental design, developing methodology, conducting and modifying procedures as needed, data collection and analysis, laboratory management, preparing and designing reports, and communication and instruction.
Education & Experience: M.D. or PH.D., or Master’s Degree with two (2) years of related experience, or Bachelor’s Degree with four (4) years of related experience. No other equivalents. Ph.D. in the neurosciences preferred.
