Postdoctoral Research Associate – The Ohio State University

Positions are available for post-doctoral research associates in the Auditory Neuroscience Laboratory (PI: Ruili Xie) within the Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at The Ohio State University.

We study the mechanisms of hearing loss at both the peripheral (cochlea) and the central (cochlear nucleus) levels of the auditory system using electrophysiology and immunohistochemistry in various projects. The postdoctoral research associates will help with data collection, analysis of results, research presentation at conferences, manuscript preparation for journal publication, and grant proposal development.

Minimum Education Required
Doctorate (Academic) or equivalent combination of education and experience with a Major in Neuroscience, Biomedical Science or other related fields.

Qualifications
The applicant should be motivated, independent, productive and a team player. Experience in electrophysiology and animal research is highly desired. This position requires successful completion of a background check. Qualified candidates may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.
