Cochlear Implant and Hearing Aid Research Lab
Oregon Health & Science University

A postdoctoral position is available to investigate binaural spectral and temporal integration – how different spectra, temporal envelopes, and frequency sweeps are fused and integrated between the ears – in adults with hearing aids, cochlear implants, or any combination of these devices. This position is supported for up to 3 years by an NIDCD/NIH R01 grant. Postdoctoral fellows will be encouraged and mentored to develop their own research projects and funding.

Qualified applicants will have a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Neuroscience, Psychology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or related fields. The candidate should have strong oral and written English communication skills, and experience with human psychophysical experiments, signal processing, and programming in C++ and MATLAB.

We are part of the Oregon Hearing Research Center (OHRC), one of the major auditory research centers in the U.S. Research spans the basic sciences to human behavior, and cochlea to auditory cortex. This is a rich environment for academic interaction and collaboration.

Interested applicants should email a cover letter, curriculum vita, poster or publication samples, and names of three references to Lina Reiss, Ph.D., at reiss@ohsu.edu.
