We seek to hire a post-doctoral fellow to use novel optical techniques to study inner ear physiology. This research project will involve using custom-designed optical coherence tomography (OCT) and two-photon microscopy systems to study animal models of hearing and hearing loss. This position is available within the lab of John Oghalai (https://oghalailab.usc.edu/). We have a great multidisciplinary team, and we will teach you what you need to know to be successful. Our lab is part of a strong auditory research group and excellent core facilities and resources are available. We are located within the USC Keck Medical Campus in Los Angeles, California.
A PhD or MD is required. Successful candidates will have conducted creative research in neuroscience, biology, or engineering. Experience with data analysis, statistics, and/or programming is preferred. Experience with animal research is valued, but not necessary. Start date: flexible. Term: Up to 2 years.
