Postdoctoral Fellow to Study Hair Cell Regeneration – Lab of Brandon Cox, Southern Illinois Univ. School of Medicine

Post Doctoral Fellow to Study Hair Cell Regeneration using Translational Approaches

The Cox lab at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine (SIU-SOM) is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to advance our drug screening efforts. This position will primarily support a DOD-funded grant focused on identifying compounds that induce hair cell regeneration. Our screening uses cochlear explants and fate-mapping methods to distinguish between mechanisms of regeneration and otoprotection, followed by translation to an in vivo model of noise-induced hearing loss. https://www.siumed.edu/brandon-cox
