A postdoctoral position is available in the lab of Bo Zhao, at Indiana University School of Medicine (https://medicine.iu.edu/faculty-labs/zhao), to study the underlying molecular mechanisms of auditory perception and deafness. The successful applicant will use biochemistry, immunohistochemistry and mouse genetics approaches to identify novel molecules and pathways essential for the functions of cochlear hair cells, the sensory cells of the auditory system.
Requirements:
Postdoctoral position: Ph.D. (or equivalent) in cell biology, biochemistry, neuroscience, or a closely related field. The candidate must also have excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and writing skills.
