We invite applications for one National Institute of Health (NIH)-funded postdoctoral position in Yong Lu, Ph.D.’s laboratory in the Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology. Dr. Lu’s research, using primarily electrophysiology (e.g., whole-cell patch clamp in brain slices) and microscope imaging techniques, investigates the function and mechanism of neuromodulation mediated by metabotropic glutamate receptors in the development of sound localization circuits. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in neuroscience. Experience in electrophysiology (in vivo or in vitro) is required. The position will be available for two (2) years, with possible extension contingent on funding. The salary is based on the NIH stipend levels (entry level $56,484), and may be adjusted based on experience. If you are interested, please contact Dr. Yong Lu at ylu@neomed.edu
