POSTDOCTORAL POSITION IN ELECTROPHYSIOLOGY

Postdoctoral position (PhD, MD) in electrophysiology available immediately on NIH grant to
study synaptic transmission in brain slices of a chick model for congenital vestibular disorders.
The experiments involve patch-clamp recordings in current- and voltage-clamp mode of vestibular
nuclei neurons, combined with biocytin injections during recordings and confocal imaging of brain
slices. Experience desirable in patch-clamp recording/pharmacological testing at the publication
level. Experience relevant in confocal imaging and immunocytochemistry. Salary follows NIH
guidelines.
