Lab of Dr. Soroush Sadeghi in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Johns Hopkins University is looking for two exceptional postdoctoral researchers interested in understanding afferent sensory signal transmission and feedback circuits that modify their response properties. We use the vestibular periphery as a sensory system model in mice. The goal of the lab is to find ways to improve sensory signaling in balance disorders. The research is funded by NIH-R01 grants. Candidates with experience in electrophysiology methods, calcium imaging, and optogenetic stimulation are specially encouraged to apply. The Department of Otolaryngology at Johns Hopkins provides great opportunities for collaborative work with other auditory and vestibular researchers with different expertise.
